Just a few hours ago, Frontier published a trailer video for, what it seems, the upcoming major expansion to Elite: Dangerous titled Odyssey...

The official video was quickly removed from Frontier's channel (update: and re-uploaded again) but that wasn't quick enough for fans to download it and make mirror copies on their own channels. The trailer clearly shows walking on planets, new suits and weapons as well as a jetpack.

The video claims it's in-engine footage (although it's clearly pre-rendered), but we can also see that the environments got a much-needed overhaul and are now more detailed and sharper. The planet in the trailer, although only rocky, looks like to have some trails of atmosphere but as anything Frontier related, that doesn't mean we'll be getting full-blown atmospheric planets on release.

And finally, release date is supposed to be in early 2021 which does fit the recent push-back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
